Dr. Stephen Porter, DMD

He and his staff have always been patient (no pun intended) with me, and personable. During a recent appointment , I was stressed due to a a non-dental surgery - and Dr. Porter, and Beth, and Torie took it all in stride with grace. Have never felt rushed, and have been acommodated with little notice when a perceived problem arose. Most importantly, I trust him.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Porter for over six years. He and the staff are always so nice and friendly, always on time and great dental care.

I am so glad my husband and I have found this office. They are so professional. They went out of their way to explain everything they were going to do and the cost up front. Dr. Porter was so kind and gentle. The best dentist either one of us has ever had. Highly recommended!!

My husband and I went to see Dr. Porter a couple of weeks ago. We have 100% dental coverage for two cleanings and x-rays once a year. They took 20 x-rays of each of us..and cleaned our teeth. When we got the information from our insurance company, all of it was NOT covered because of the type of x-rays they took! It cost us just shy of $130 for both of us!!! The reason? The type of x-rays they took....why did they not check our insurance coverage beforehand and then ask us if we wanted something different than what was covered? VERY upset at them. There was also a gentleman in the next room from me when they took me in who was literally in extreme pain..I almost got up and walked out..the dentist explained that he was a dementia patient...but still...10 minutes of pain like that?

I met Dr. Porter 3 years ago when I sought out a dentist in Port Ludlow for a client with a dental emergency. Sitting chair side with my client and listening and seeing how he was with my client, I knew after observing him, I indeed needed to change dentists. Dr. Porter has the BEST chair side manner. He has done major work to me including extractions, crowns, cavities, cleaning, etc. Never during any procedure did I ever feel pain or uncomfortable. He has a soft touch and is very comforting and an exceptional, caring dentist! His staff are also amazing! I feel very fortunate to have found him. I have had such fear of dentists since I was a small girl you see. Over 60 years later, that fear has never left me. I told Dr. Porter about this fear and he understood! When I visit his office, he squashes all my fears with his ways. With him I don't crush the arm rests, leaving indentations. Very professional and EXTREMELY DILIGENT always, doing excellent dental work at a reasonable price.

I had a great experience with Julie, the hygienist. She did a deep cleaning on my right side and I had little to no pain following those appts. I had a terrible experience with Dr Porter. He cleaned my left side and was extremely rough. He scoffed at me when I asked for the topical numbing agent and then said, "it doesn't really work." Then he proceeded to give me 6-8 injections to numb me for a deep cleaning. I was in pain the whole time and was in tears before I left the parking lot.

Went once, will not return.
