Dr. Steven Johnson, DDS

I'm new to the area and asked my primary doctor about Steve Johnson as dentist. When I saw the review by a patient who raised the issue about treating an infection with opioid pain medication I thought it best to share some thoughts. Steve Johnson's idea of how to treat dental pain with options as his first method of a treatment protocol is illustrative of his incompetence. Given the number of nerve endings, proximity to the nasal/SINUS cavities, and optical and audio sensory stimuli Steve's primary answer in a treatment protocol using options of evidence his incompetence as a healthcare provider. I asked my primary provider about him and my primary provider told me that he lost his hearing as a result of an on-going opioid addiction that has spanned at least 20 plus years. My primary doctor advised me that he is "not thought of well in the healthcare community". I'm quite certain that my primary doctor was being "politically correct"and recommended three other dentists.

I recommend that NO ONE see this dentist. I initially did not plan to review him out of fear, but ultimately decided to in an effort to protect the women who may see him in the future. Dr. Johnson was sexually inappropriate me during my office visit with him. I also had an allergic reaction to a metal he used on my crown. When I went to him in an attempt to fix the problem, he instead offered me pain killers. I did not accept as I knew masking a problem with opioids was not the solution. When I sought a second opinion, it was determined that I was having an allergic reaction. If you are not convinced that he is a terrible dentist after hearing about sexual harassment and negligence, there are many other more minor complaints. To name a few, he was late to each of my appointments by 30 minutes, he is slow compared to other dentists, and he wrongly informed me of the use of Amoxicillin. Worst healthcare experience of my life, and I am a nurse so I am very familiar with healthcare.
