Dr. Taylor Mercke, DMD

I was so nervous about getting two crowns today. Dr. Mercke took the time to answer all of my questions and put my mind at ease. During the entire process, she explained what she was doing and made the experience as good as it could be when you go to the dentist. Alex, the assistant was also great, and took the time needed to make my temporaries perfect! I have a complex bite, so that was the other concern that she and the assistant made me feel at ease about. I have been going to Comfort Dental for decades, now. I keep coming back because it is the best for your dental needs.

It's important to know that Dr. Mercke will not prescribe pain medication prior to a root canal, even if you are in severe pain. I missed a week from work and endured extreme pain for a week. I was crying on the phone, pleading for Dr. Mercke to please give me something to help with this severe pain while I waited for my root canal the next week. Dr. Mercke did not give me any pain management advice or offer to help with my severe pain, she only offered to try to get me in somewhere sooner to get my root canal, which was fruitless. After speaking to Dr. Mercke on the phone regarding my severe pain, I felt like I was just a number, not a human being who was going through the 2nd most painful experience of my life. My hope is that Dr. Mercke will change her approach on pain management. The receptionist told me that I will receive pain medication after the root canal. I had a root canal (at a different practice) a week later and I was fine within 24 hours, no pain medication required.

Dr. Mercke was very good at relaxing me and explaining what she would do to fix my dental problems. She is very knowledgeable and smart in all manners of dental issues. I am do thankful she accepted me as her patient and look forward to her work n my dental problems. Best dentist I have had in 35 years!

We just have the best time when visiting Dr. Mercke. She is kind, professional and a very skilled dentist.

I had a great experience w Dr. Mercke. She was very knowledgeable and explained to me each step of my treatment. She worked well w her assistant and they both made me feel comfortable. I appreciated the time she spent with me and I did not feel rushed. That was nice.

I am a patient of Dr. Mercke. I have been very pleased with her friendly manner and professional treatment. She explained very clearly to me what I needed done and how they were going to proceed. The staff was also friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Mercke and Comfort Dental if you are looking for a dentist in the Pensacola area.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTAL PRACTICE!!!!! THEY PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH!! When the mistake was discovered, they refused to speak with us on the phone the day of the procedure and almost refused to see us the following day because "we didn't have an appointment". When questioned about the mistake, they denied responsibility and were not honest about the agreed upon treatment plan. They then required another $2000 for an implant that would not have been required had they not extracted the WRONG TOOTH!!
