Missed crack in tooth / Cancelled vacation
I was referred to Elite Dental Specialists per my regular dentist after his x-rays showed a crack in my tooth. Dr Bertrand's x-ray (not 3) said there was no crack, gave me a steroid and sent me on my 2 week vacation. Increase pain had me call her office. Informing her staff I am allergic to penicillin, I was give a penicillin based antibiotic anyway. Pain medication she prescribed also did NOT work. The next day I called the again, this time getting a correct antibiotic but prescribed a steroid once again. That evening I went to ER with server pain and blood pressure of 208/95. I cancelled my vacation returning home. With no confidence in Dr. Bertrand I reached out to a closer Elite Dental Specialists fearful of another ER visit and was told they had NO appointments for 2 more days! I did find an endodontist who found both the crack and an abscess and was able to help me immediately. Do not use Elite Dental Specialists.
