Need to reconsider or coordinate when referring
Although the actual experience with Dr. Thigpen was fine, was very unhappy with the referral to Oral & Facial Surgery of Northeast Texas. Was handed a referral slip the had a price of $150.00 by Dr Thigpens office staff. When we arrived at we were told the $150.00 was the consultation fee to collect medical information. Not true !!! $55.00 was consultation fee and $95.00 was for Xray fees not covered by insurance because Dr. Thigpen's office had done a set the prior week - I am sure everyone in the dental business knows insurance only covers full set of xrays once every 5 years. But according to Oral & Facial Surgery of Northeast Texas they use a different "type" of xray. If Dr. Thigpen is going to refer patients to this center I suggest that they coordinate. HIs office obviously knew that the $150.00 included another set of Xrays that would not be covered.

My family and I as well as multiple friends I’ve sent over the years are 100% satisfied with Dr Thigpen and his staff!! He gets 5 stars in my book. Highly recommended by myself and family.
