Dr. Val Atsen, DDS

I was a patient for several years before a filling fell out in 2022. I had terrible pain on the left side of my mouth (tooth 14+15). Dr. Atsen did a root canal in 14 +15, but did a terrible job and did not get a CTC scan to look at the roots before doing the procedure. Both root canals failed. Dr. Atsen redid one. Whenever I told him about the severe pain I was in, he told me I had TMJ and to put a warm washcloth across my face. Meanwhile, I had a raging infection in tooth 14+15. I saw a TMJ specialist, and the specialist told me I did not have TMJ and that my jaw was in excellent condition. He said the issue was an underlying tooth infection and crown occlusion. I had another dentist look at the 14 crown, and it turns out Dr. Atsen ordered the wrong size crown and forcefully put it on tooth 14, even though it didn't fit. I've since had it adjusted three times, and will have to order a new crown to replace it. I went to an endodontist and redid both of his root canals. Avoid him!
