After Care Services Costs Thru the Roof
My daughter had to go in after her treatment plan was over and have her permanent retainer fixed. Basically, they removed the retainer, put some glue on it and re-set it; about 5 minutes tops. Charge was $95. Ridiculous!! Maybe $40 for the tech to provide the service and $1 for the glue; NOT $95. Will not be going back.

Better options. Don't get caught up in the pretty office. Excessive amounts of cancelled appointments. Stay on top of the charges. Everything is great until you sign on the dotted line.

Bad business! Go somewhere else! They billed me and my insurance after we were paid in full for over a year. Now I have to pay more money to someone else because of their screw up. They won’t finish treatment on my other child who is also paid in full by me and my insurance. I spoke to someone twice and they said they would handle it. They did not and reported me to mess up my credit on an account that has been paid in full FOR YEARS.

I wish this site allowed us to post pictures. My daughter’s smile turned out beautifully despite the level of complexity. It has been 6 years and she has stopped wearing her retainer but her results are as beautiful today as they were when he completed the case. Will definitely return when my younger kids are old enough.

Our experience with Dr. Misuraca and his staff has been good, and I love the way my teeth turned out. My daughter's permanent retainer kept coming out, and they charge to replace. My second daughter - same thing with her perm retainer. I find that there has been an extremely high turnover of assistants at the Baton Rouge office, within the last two or three years. However, Dr. Misuraca has always gone out of his way to help when we had any problems. He also referred us to a great Oral Surgeon.

My daughter had been in braces 4 years. She's nearly 15 and He rdf smile is terrible. Braces came off in March 2017 and we were advised that she may need them again. So frustrated. We drive from across the river. We can hardly get appointments in Baton Rouge and the turnover of dental assistants is terrible. Dr. Misuraca always assures us that "he will take care of us" but there's no follow through. Sadly, today we get a retainer but we won't be returning!

We had to go for a second treatment session because the permanent retainer did not work. We had enough and ended the second treatment when it drag on and orthodontist could not be reached on call when wire sticking in her mouth! My teenage girl's retainer broke in less than 1 month! We went to a new orthodontist and purchased a new retainer for $150. No more Misuraca for us!!!

Great looking main office. Works with your insurance. Don't like that they have multiple offices- have to schedule certain days in order to have Invisalign appts. Seems to rush through and dental assts can be a hit or miss. One asst didn't adjust retainer because she didn't know how or what tools to use after he told her too and he walked to the next patient. No major complaints. Don't like the constant change of retainer wearing-hopefully not trying to lengthen process- seems questionable

Wrong choice for ortho. A 4-6 month treatment plan turned into 10 months. Spends little time with patients. Always in a rush and bounces from city to city which is very inconvenient when brackets break or other things you need an appointment for. Definitely keep searching
