this doctor is the Best Ever, I had a very hard root canal done today on my back tooth, my roots were curved under the tooth. He gave me shots that didn't hurt at all, I was shocked and though the procedure took 1 1/2 hours, I felt nothing, was I scared at first you bet but when he started I knew I was in the best of hands. His office is on Renwick road in Plainfield and Oak Brook center Illinois. if we had more stars I would put them in. I will tell all the people I know.

I was very anxious about needing a root canal. Dr. Penesis was extremely kind and patient with me. He gave me extra anesthetic and told me to raise my hand if I felt any pain at all. He explained everything he was doing. It was a very difficult surgery (long and thin roots), but I didn't feel ANY pain! Dr. Penesis even called me that evening to make sure I was doing well. When I called with a question the following day, I received an answer quickly. Highly recommend!

Dr. Penesis is the one of the most professional and kind DDS I have ever been to and at 77 I have been to many. I also was the most relaxed I have ever been in a dentist office because of his low key manner while thoroughly explaining the procedure I needed. After the surgery was done I was utterly amazed at what little discomfort I had....no real pain!

During the consultation visit, Dr. Penesis thoroughly explained the condition that existed and clearly identified what steps would be taken to resolve the issue. Dr Penesis is fantastic. After having a bad experience when young at a dentist I developed a true fear of the dental experience. Needless to say being told I needed a root canal caused me anxiety and fear. I explained my fear to Dr. Penesis and he made me feel comfortable as we discussed thoroughly the procedure he was about to perform. I was referred to Dr. from my regular dentist to finish a difficult root canal. From the very beginning, I had a great experience. He, himself, got on the phone when I was making my appointment to explain the process. I got in the next day for a consultation! Then, within a week I had an appointment for my procedure. Upon getting there, no waiting and was prepped. The area was properly numbed--NO PAIN. Then throughout, he explained everything to me. Later, Dr. called to see if I was ok.

I would HIghly reccomend Dr. Penesis! I have had a history of problems with dentists and doctors office visits. He put my mind to ease and made sure that I had absolutely no pain throughout the experience. I had three root canals and about fell asleep during the last visit. He got all three done in two visits, each in under an hour. Anyone who needs a root canal should consider Dr. Penesis even if he is out of network like he was for me. Well worth it!

Dr. Penesis is the most qualified endodontist I have ever met. He performed two root canals on me within the past five years. He explains everything thoroughly, calms patient anxiety, has an excellent and professional staff to support his work, and most importantly, made both of my dental procedures completely painless. No one enjoys going through dental procedures, but when you must, I highly recommend Dr. Penesis!
