Dr Gray review
I saw Dr Gray in 2023 for a tongue polyp, and an inner mouth bleeding sore. His nurse numbed my tongue. Dr Gray removed the polyp with (8) stitches, OUCH!, and excised the tongue polyp for pathology. I went back to him to have the stitches removed. He was great! The stitches were removed without pain; and I found Dr. Gray to be super nice; he understood and addressed my nervousness with professionalism and compassion.I would RECOMMEND DR. GRAY to anyone without hesitation.(Oh), and my tongue polyp was benign.

If I could give negative stars I would. The staff is phenomenal but Dr Gray was arrogant, condescending, & dismissive. I’m left with severe jaw pain & am going on 8 weeks post wisdom teeth removal… At 6 weeks post op I woke up with major swelling on my left side of my jaw. At this point I had NO pain, just a HUGE jaw. I went to a local ER who recommended I contact Dr Gray(who I had already been trying to contact for hours). It was on a Saturday so I called his “after hours” line posted on his website; repeatedly. The answering service informed me that even though he was on call he was seemingly ignoring all messages and voicemails they were leaving him. They tried to contact him multiple times from 7:30am to 4:30pm. I ended up in STL at the hospital who again after discharging me with a severe infection, suggested I follow up with Dr Gray to rule out if it was from my teeth removal. I was able to get in the following Wednesday. Upon seeing him I felt he was dismissive and in a hurry to get out of the room. He refused to discuss what happened regarding him not answering the emergency line & blamed the answering service(who were beyond kind to me & actually called me that evening as well as the day after to check on me). During my appointment he flushed my mouth out to see if the sockets were clean. He pried my mouth open when my jaw was swollen and stiff it could hardly open, so much so that I asked him twice to stop before reaching to grab his hand when he finally quit. It caused me so much pain I sobbed the rest of my appointment. His response to me was “pain is real for everyone”. He said that my sockets were clean and healed and that basically he wasn’t quite sure what had happened but that he would prescribe me a steroid for the swelling & that if it comes back he will have to cut my gums back open to see if there’s something in them that could be causing infection. When he left the room his assistant even stayed behind to check on me and make sure I was okay because she could tell how badly I was hurting. The pain I was in now, mixed with how he acted just made a bad situation worse. I left my appointment in more pain than I was when I arrived. It’s been over a week since I seen him and I have had consistent jaw pain that wasn’t even there prior to seeing him. I will not go back.

Unprofessional and Aggresive
I was brought in for a consultation. I was left in the exam room for over 30 minutes without an explanation. Dr. Gray came in to the room loud and in a hurry without an introduction started accusing me of not wanting to get an x-ray done; which was far from the truth. I never said that and dont know where he got that. I immediately felt offended. Then he explained all the reasons why he couldnt help me. It was a wasted morning and I will never go to that office again. The office staff were relatively nice but very unskilled. Dont go to this doctor. I give him and this experience a BIG THUMBS DOWN! BOOOOOO!

Outstanding dentist!
Dr Gray removed a molar this afternoon. He really impressed me…quickly got things numbed up, and removed the tooth with no discomfort whatsoever. I was surprised when he said he was done! Won’t ever see another dentist for dental work!

Excellent Visit, Highly Competent
Dr. Gray and his staff were attentive, empathetic and efficient and highly skilled. I had a general anesthesia and the staff handled the paperwork and prep without a great deal of fuss. I appreciated their efforts to keep me calm and patient through the consent process. When I awakened from the anesthesia, I experienced very little pain…even after all the numbing meds wore off. I followed the aftercare instructions to the letter, and have had no issues. They called in meds for me, and were available the following day. Again, it was a great experience over all. Highly competent surgeon and great staff.

Implant Procedure
From the moment I walked into either office, I was greeted and treated as if I was family. The attention to detail and ensuring that I was comfortable at all times was their highest priorities. I have severe PTSD, having Dr. Gray and staff allowed me to gain their trust and confidence. There is no better Oral Surgeon than Dr. Gray.

Happy and Grateful Patient
Because of other health issues, I was extremely nervous about my extractions. Dr. Gray understood this and made sure I had the blood work done, explaining it clearly and having me reschedule to give me more time to have a favorable outcome. The extractions were quick, and I can say painlessly. The office staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Gray's assistant was excellent. Dr. Gray himself is a very kind, professional doctor. Thank you for your outstanding service.

First they put me under then had to wake me up because they forgot I had to sign the consent form, which he was going to wait almost two hours for me to become lucid. It made it a huge hassle for my sister. Then his bedside manner was very brisk and just egotistical. I get I’m not the dentist, however anxious patients are already nervous enough. And to top it off my sister got me home and went to put me to bed and found a large pair of hemostats still clipped to my shirt. I’m not entirely sure what happened here, but I’m really hoping everything including healing goes smoothly.

I needed two emergency extractions. I wasn't sleeping anymore from the pain. I called in the morning as a new patient and was seen 3 hours later. Exam, consultation and surgery, including an implant, were complete in 1 1/2 hours. It was amazing. Compassionate, efficient, staff with an eye toward serious COVID-19 protocols made me feel comfortable and confident. I highly recommend Dr. Gray. He's straight-forward, no-nonsense and did a beautiful job. I feel so much better!

I went to Dr. Gray for removal of an impacted wisdom tooth in November of 2017. He was nice at first then after he prescribed basically Aleve 500mg. I stressed to him my high tolerance for pain meds and reassured I didn't want anything crazy or narcotics. He accused my wife and I of being pill poppers and drug addicts. They said that the anesthesia would last for several hours after the surgery. I was home 30 minutes and it wore off. I've never been in that much pain and we called to try and get him to see us again and he told us to go to the ER if we were in that much pain. We finally went back up to the surgery center and he had us put in to a room and we had to wait almost an hour for him to come talk to us. Finally he gave me a stronger prescription along with another anti inflammatory. This guys is areal jerk with a big time ego problem. I've had coworkers, friends, and family that have needed oral work done, and I've steered them far away from here because of Dr. Gray.

I have had a long ordeal with Dr. Gray. After his partner, Dr. Hribernik passed away, Dr. Gray decided to try to handle both sets of patients. This led him to hurried tasks, no bedside manner and shoddy work. I had to go back twice because of mistakes he made. And the last time I was there, I waited for an hour after my appointment time for him to get to me. He is in such a hurry, he just yanks and pulls like you owe him money. Overall, it was one of the most excruciating processes I have ever endured, dealing with Dr. Gray for a year, just trying to get two implants put in.

  • "I only had surgery yesterday. One wisdom tooth removal and one extraction. Less than 24 hours later and I am in zero pain. Dr. Gray and the staff are amazing. They are professional, know exactly what they are doing, and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and okay, even when you are extremely anxious, as I was. If I need any additional procedures performed, I would absolutely come back and I would happily recommend this office for anyone I know who needs help. It was really fast and I could not be happier."
