We have always loved it there, and the staff is great! Now that we have no dental health insurance, my mind has quickly been pushed to feel that the billing is unethical. Generally, heath care practices always bill insurance double what they feel they will be paid. They then write off the rest of the amount. For self pay patients, the practice generally has a set fee schedule for self pay patients. This cost is usually always the amount that they would be reimbursed from an insurance company. Here's what does not sit well with me. We were charged $254 for a dental cleaning, x-rays, and the extra $10 covid ppe fee (don't get me started on this. Most ETHICAL practices would never pass this on to a patient, and only pass this on to insurance companies). This is the amount that is always billed to insurance, and they always write off 50%. Leslie called me back, and incorrectly stated this was insurance fraud. Continuing education is needed on current billing/insurance practices.

Dr Koentz and his entire staff, currently and going back 17 years since we started using them for our family dental care, have been stellar. I personally can't thank him and his staff enough for the level of treatment including genuine care and compassion given at each and every visit. You can't go wrong choosing him as your dental provider. Each of my children, including myself, have special dental needs, requiring additional dental specialists, that he works with and around treatments.
