Not What I Expected
This dentist was recommended to me. I moved to Delaware from NC where I had a wonderful dentist. I made an appointment as a nee patient for teeth cleaning. When I arrived I was told I was inly getting xrays today. After expressing my irritation I was given a 15 minute rushed cleaning! The equipment is old and out of date and the doctor was speaking to me with back turned. I am 65 years old and that had to be to worst dentist appointment I ever had. Needless to say I am looking for another dentist.

If the reviews are fake why are they not all positive. I've had great experiences since the 80's

All of the good reviews on his website are fake and written by his wife. Only believe the bad ones, they are true. They also pay patients to write good reviews. He lies to patients about needing root canals so he can make money. He won't do any procedures on children, he will send them out to a pediatric dentist. He is rude and his breath stinks. His office is dirty, he doesn't have a cleaning company. You'll be sorry if you go here.

Very unprofessional. Staff reviewed my notes in my chart just outside my door and made hurtful comments in regards to the services needed to be provided. They laughed and made jokes just outside my door where I listened. Upon entering my room Dr. Reckenwald was notified of the unprofessional behavior in a calm respectful manor, his response was well maybe you and your wife should go some place else. Not sure what they real problem was but I do know that is not professional services!

After moving from NY to Delaware 2 1/2 yrs ago I needed a regular dentist who could also provide periodontal cleanings I needed. This office met my needs up to now . His staff is professional and courteous. I had a minor emergency a while back that involved reinstalling an implant that they were kind enough to repair at no charge. I recommend this office.

Everytime you go in there it's root canal and crown. Won't give you an infection free sign off for a transplant list activation until you pay $3500 for procedures. Professional extortionist!! Only cares about lining his pockets.

I was a patient of Dr Rectenwald back in 1984, he did many procedures for me but the one that sticks out the most is the cap that he put on my chipped front tooth and it is outlasting my other teeth and it is now 2016 (31 years, way to go doc) He was an excellent dentist and probably still is, he knew of ways to give you the minimum pain possible.
