Dr. Yamen Akhras, DDS

I'm a new patient and required a difficult filling to be done. They got me in quickly to have it done. I received prompt service and the staff were all very freindly. Dr. Yamen explained everything he did before, during, and after the procedure. I will remain a patient with Midwest Dental and would recommend to anyone looking for freindly, qualified service. Thank you for your honest approach and quick resolution.

Did good work, took time to communicate clearly, and responsive to our scheduling needs for flexibility. This was for wisdom teeth extraction for two teenagers.

During my routine dental cleaning I mentioned some discomfort with one tooth. X-rays showed that a crown I previously had done from another dentist was "leaking". I needed a root canal and a new crown. Dr. Akhras has a great chair side manner putting me at ease and explained the procedure and was very patient answering all my questions. I can assure you that the root canal was indeed painless. My new crown fits and feels better than the old one. I highly recommend Dr. Akhras.

We have to say that Dr.Akhras and his staff are wonderful. Our daughter had to have her wisdom teeth out and needed to fit it in between college and work but they were able to get it done. Even though her case required an extra visit because she had a problem with the anesthesia and they were only able to get 3 out of 4 teeth the first time. But we were very impressed that they did not push it and force issue to get the last tooth and cause her to have a bad experience. Our son is next.

Dr. Akhras and his staff were extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable, I was very embarrassed to show anyone my teeth especially dentist but i am now comfortable with Dr. Akhras and his staff. I called his office at 9am on Saturday morning and told his staff my situation "i had a abscess tooth" and they told me to come in, so i did. I arrived at his office around 9:40am and at 9:50am they had me in the chair prepping for my tooth extraction. Highly recommend Dt. Akhras.

Dr. Yamen removed my wisdom tooth (yes, I only had one) this past week. The surgery went very smoothly, it took less than an hour! I was sedated, and there were no complications, and I did not feel any pain throughout the surgery. As of day 2 of post-op, I have minimal swelling, which I am thankful for! I highly recommend Dr. Yamen to anyone that is looking for a great oral surgeon to remove those pesky wisdom teeth, or if you are simply looking for a great dentist to get regular checkups!

I can't believe how much I enjoyed being taken care of by Dr. Akhras. He made me feel comfortable during all of my visits. I watched all of my proceedures with a mirror and Dr. Akhras explained each step as he went along. What a great experience. I learned so much I will only go to him for dentistry from now on. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Akhras. I had a cavity that needed to be filled prior to me leaving for a year long deployment. Dr. Akhras did a wonderful job however I still had sensitivity that would require a crown. I called three days prior to my departure and not only did Dr. Akhras fit me in after hours he was able to basically overnight the permanent crown so that I had it prior to my deployment. I have not had any issues with him and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I had to have a root canal done, and was extremely anxious and worried about getting it done. I have heard so many people have horror stories about theirs. During my appointment, Dr. Akhras went over everything that was going to be done, and the steps we would go through. During the procedure I was way more at ease that I thought I would feel. He made me very comfortable, and everything was completely painless. The procedure was flawless and I had no pain or discomfort in the days following.
