As if dealing with your child being in the NICU unexpectedly isn't enough, they send you incorrect bills that go to collections. We were never sent a bill in the mail. Bills were being sent to my mother who had nothing to do with any info given to the hospital. She finally realized what she was getting and sent them back to me. I called to change the info and they said it was done. My husband and I took money out to pay all of the hospital bills and vividly remember paying this completely. We finally get a bill in the mail that says balance due: $0.00. To us, that was correct. We then get a bill from Gulf Coast Collections for $566.66. This was a massive shock to us since we paid our bill a month ago. When I called, they tell me that my son has THREE separate accounts and that is what the other bill is from and it was never paid. I let them know I never got a bill with that account number on it or that dollar amount. I have only been dismissed as if I am in the wrong. Still no answers.
