Well, I went for treatment of LONG-standing diagnoses. Upon seeing Dr. Sales, I was told I probably have 'Mixed State Depression' after he spent 25% of the interview trying to ask me if I have mania about 50 different ways, just rephrased each time. Mind you, the last office I went to was staffed with quacks, but they bothered to get my history from multiple physicians and this guy couldn't be bothered. He decided this despite my therapist since 2019 saying very firmly that's what I have. He decided this despite my regular Dr saying the same, the one who has worked with me since 2017. But he could't be bothered with that, either. Dxing every adult female you see with 'Depression with Mixed States' and the equivalent and trying to force it onto them, despite it clearly not fitting, is a very circa 1800s move! He's personable and he'll give you a long first meet, but he's going to spend most of it trying to shove you in his little easy box. At least the prior quack had the dx correct!
