Billing Department is the worst!
The visit went fine. After the procedure, my primary doctor billed a preventative code and everything was paid by insurance. Surgical Elite billed a diagnostic code instead of preventative which left me with a balance of just over $1,000. In the three months following my visit, I made 9 calls to their office about the incorrect billing code and they mailed me 11 statements. 11 statements!! They also sold my name to CareCredit and I had to request they not sell my information. After asking my primary doctor’s office to call them, they changed the billing code and the entire amount they had been billing me was paid by insurance. Was it a mistake or a scam? You decide.
