No support leading up to colonoscopy appointment.

This is a really strange place, that thrives on lack of competition in Flagstaff. I was referred by my family physician for long-standing reflux issues in January, saw the GI specialist in April, and all he did was put me on mega doses of medication with follow-up in October. Things didn't get better. I was then referred for an upper GI--and the radiologist told me the problem wasn't acid secretion at all, but that it had more to do with loss of sphincter tone and that a bed with a head elevation would do me more good than medication. I tried to connect with the GI doctor--and was referred by their front desk people to his assistant; who basically cut me off without listening at all. She told me to schedule an endoscopy without even talking about results thus far. I finally tried to do so and despite numerous efforts they never responded to my call. Then I started getting form letters telling me to call and set up an appt.! Never go back.
