My husband’s phone rang and a voicemail was left saying he owes a $25 co-pay for being a no-show at a urology appointment. Our son called the office back( Arizona Urology) He explained that his father had passed away four days prior. The young person from the office told him a $25 co-pay is owed for being a no-show. My Son explained that he’s given a courtesy call to explain why his father was not in attendance that appointment. The young person repeated that it is policy that the $25 is owed by his father for being a no show. Our son, decided to put it in hopes this person would understand…” what part of my dad understand?” Individual told us the money is owed submit his death certificate. This utter lack of human kindness, empathy and common decency shocks me to the core.
