RUN do not Walk from this Place! I give 0 stars!!!
1st Cardio said 'WOMEN ARE DIFFICULT' WHAT? They monitored my BP for months. It was reported daily to a third party overseeing my numbers, w/monthly reports. If #'s were low- high they would ping Pima & have them send me to the ER. The 3rd party overseeing my #'s were shocked & said 'EVERYONE in this CO. knows you! WHY, I ask, because I was the only one High & Low BP, & they knew Pima Heart was leaving me in the dust. Pima signed off of MONTHS of reports BUT clearly never looked at them. I saw Dr. Rajen D. Desai, MD twice, 2 seconds into the 1st appt. He JUMPED & FLEW out of his chair. I told him I was worried about my LOW BP when I lay down. He YELLED 'YOUR HIGH STRUNG & LOW BP DOES NOT MATER!!! WHEN MY numbers & heart rate were low, like code BLUE low! He changed my med's 2 LOWER MY BP! The Pharmacist would not let ME have his prescription & said talk w/PCP 1st! Dr. Desai said he 'WOULD NOT WORK W/MY PCP BECAUSE SHE'S JUST A NURSE & HE'S A DOCTOR!!! HE SAID THIS IN FRONT OF HIS RN!!

Bad support services
Dr Kansagra is top notch. But I spent 40 minutes on hold. Each time I call their phone # it is a long wait with a recording blathering on and on about higher than usual call volumes. If you have the largest practice in S AZ and the best Drs wouldn’t you want to hire enough telephone operators to handle the calls w/o a 40 minute wait? Saying it is higher than usual call volume month after month is a lie! Good office admins would hire more operators so the wait time is acceptable. Your admins are killing the great reputation of your doctors. Hearing on your recordings how important my call is and being on hold 40 minutes is mutually exclusive and disrespectful. Telling me I can have a call back only works if patients have confidence that you actually will care enough to call back when you don’t care enough to answer. If you offer a reasonable salary I’m sure you’ll find operators to hire!

Not Patient Friendly
Pima Heart & Vascular has some very good doctors, but unfortunately the overall operation is very poorly run negating the value of the doctors. The administration of the overall operation is very bureaucratic resulting in time consuming and some times failed efforts to obtain services. Hard to get on their portal, being on hold for 20-30 minutes, and more. Low exhibited concern for patients. We were with our heart doctor before he joined Pima Heart & Vascular and are now leaving him.
