My husband arrived for his appointment early only to be told the cardiologist was out for the week and that he had been rescheduled for a month out...with a nurse practitioner, not the cardiologist. This without any notification to us, although they said they had left a voice mail. When my husband said it was really important that he see the cardiologist, he had symptoms he wanted to discuss, they said he'd have to wait two more months to see the doctor. My husband has been a patient at this practice since his open heart surgery 12 years ago. In the last few days since this happened, we have shared the story with multiple friends who all know people with similar concerns about the practice's communication and general follow-up. They all suggested we get a referral to an out of the area cardiologist who runs a well-managed clinic and is an excellent cardiologist. Advice taken!
