They gave me an antibiotic that I am allergic too!
The doctor and nurse were kind and explained what they needed to do to treat me for a dog bite. But then they sent me home with a prescription for Amoxycillin knowing full well that I am allergic to Penicillin, which causes a severe allergic reaction for me. So, in addition to recovering from the dog bite, I also had to contend with and recover from a severe allergic reaction of hives and itchiness all over my body! This experience does NOT instill confidence in the medical professionals working at this ER.
