Ashley Caravella

The main reason for this one star review is that Ashley does not seem to have any cultural sensitivity training. I don’t recommend seeing her if you are not originally from this country or are a person of color. She comes across as someone with deeply embedded biases against people of different races and cultures. If you're from a different culture, she doesn't seem to realize you're living a regular life and experiencing things in ways all humans do. Instead, she frames everything through the lens of stereotypes she's subscribing to about habits, preferences, and behaviors stereotypically associated with your race or culture. I hope she'll learn that the interpersonal interactions and life conflicts described by her clients are experiences common to all human beings, whether white and born in America or brown or black or born somewhere else. Insinuating that conflicts in people's lives are occurring strictly on the basis of their racial or cultural background is simply discriminatory.
