Consult with Dr. Mikeladze at Pain Clinic
I saw Dr. MiKeladze at the SF Kaiser Chronic Pain Clinic, of which he is the Chief. I have been suffering from worsening arthritic pain in my back, toes, and knees (cortisone shots do help my knees). I also have hip bursitis, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, venous stasis (in legs) and sciatica. Treatment for my back (injection) at the interventional pain clinic did not help. I do some exercises, per previous phys. Therapy. Dr. mikeladze was very impatient, as I described my symptoms. He input details into his computer. I said Itake ibuprofen and hydrocodone for pain. He said to stop the Ibuprofen, and take MORE codeine. (I’d rather not.) Then he stood up and announced “There is nothing I can do for you.” Period. No suggestions, strategies, or referrals. Except he said I could look at Kaiser online. Is that all the Pain Clinic offers? But maybe nothing else can be done. He is the chief of the service.
