Whatever you do – do NOT use UCLA Health! Here’s why: I went for an annual physical that has always been covered by my insurance when I went to Cedars Sinai for the past decade. Here at UCLA, they charged my insurance for two separate exams even tho I was only with the doctor for 10-15 mins and asked one question! Then, the doctor, Sabrina Barata, ordered blood tests inappropriate for someone of my age and I had to get more blood tests later. The combined charges for all this were several thousand dollars to insurance and almost $1000 for me out of pocket - even though it was an annual physical for a healthy person. Moreover, Dr. Barata wanted to schedule a follow up appointment to discuss my test results, something the doctor or nurse always did for free elsewhere. I said I didn't want to have another appointment - just tell me what you think about the results - and I never heard from them again!Avoid UCLA Health!
