A few minutes and done

My insurance changed and I had to find a new PCP. Since this practice is close to my home, I took an appointment with an NP there- Jeffrey Mandl. It was an intake appointment but it was over in minutes. He looked through the questionnaires that I had filled prior to the visit, asked a fe questions, and did the most minimal exam I had ever seen- listened to a couple of breaths in & out and a few heart beats. That was it. Jeff hardly looked up from the paper. This was much less of interaction than then I was seeing my previous PCP for a routine follow up for stable problems. The only good thing was that appointments were easily available. But I am not sure that i would like to go back if I had a problem.
