Lied about taking my insurance
I called & asked if they took United Healthcare Advantage dental & was told yes. Told them I had a TMJ problem & told it was covered. Show up & NP tries to do x-rays. I showed her piece of paper with MRI diagnosis as reason for coming in. Someone comes in, says luckily MD is available, & literally whisks me into his office. He does exam. As I go to leave, same woman tells me 'Unfortunately Dr. Bieneman doesn't take United Healthcare Advantage' & I owe $350. Offered to let me pay 'only half' right then??? Eventually she tells me she will 'make this right' as I clearly was misled. This appt was in Oct 2024. I have been getting bills for $350 from them for at least 2 months now. No discussion when I checked in. No discussion before I saw the doctor. Very deceptive practice that will take advantage of anyone not able to stand up for themselves in this situation.
