First Street Family Health

I had a lump under my armpit that was causing me pain and went in to get it checked out. They ordered an ultrasound for me and said they’ll call back within a week with the results. No one ever called me back and I had to call multiple times and insist to get my results. They finally called me and told me, oh yeah looks like you have some swollen lymph nodes under there, we want you to come back in 6 months to do another ultrasound.No explanation of what might be causing it, no telling me what to do about it, nothing. I spent hundreds of dollars on this place to have them tell me something I suspected all along! A few years before this I was sick all the time with fever sore throat etc. and they did blood work then procrastinated as long as they possibly could to call me and tell me that they couldn’t find anything and once again didn’t even put in the slightest effort to try to find out what was wrong. If it would have been a serious life threatening illness I would probably be dead.

Stay away from this place. The doctors couldn’t care less about you or your child. They dragged their feet for 9 months now and my child is still sick. Now they lost all patients health records since June 2021!! So we have switched to a new doctor and can’t access any of the blood work, referrals, cardiologist, sleep study information, etc. Do yourself a favor and go to a professional business, First Street Family Health is a crap doctors office.

Dr. Dischler was fabulous! He was filling in for a doctor who was on vacation. I feel very fortunate to have met him. Thorough check up and answered ALL of my questions.

The office staff is rude! You can rarely get anyone on the phone! I hurt my hand over the weekend. I call in on Monday asking for an appointment. I'm told I can't see my doctor, Dr. Grant, as she is booked out for over two weeks. That's fine, whoever. There is no one available for two weeks I'm told. I have an email from thirteen days prior stating same-day appointments for acute care patients. I call back. The lady is even ruder. I'm told there are none. I ask about tomorrow. Places me on hold. Comes back. Yes, there are but with the P.A. Fine, as I had said before. The P.A. is fine. I can't give it to you. They are same day. Seriously, you place me on hold to check the next day. Tell me they are available but can't give it to me because I have to call tomorrow. This office is a joke! Look at the reviews on major sites 2.9 stars and ONE STAR! If you are in Salida area. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE. One star in small-town Salida. THAT'S BAD!!!
