Fiance went to rehab unit after 10days in trauma at Gulfcoast hospital. Couldn't have a conversation w nurse,tried several times but couldn't understand stand her or others on the floor. Made fiance sleep in a cage because he is a fall danger. Even though many staff sitting around right outside his room. So he has no access to phone or television. He is unsure and confused at times and I can't even reassure him because no one answers any phones. Not the nurses station or in his room. This place is deplorable and treat patients like animals. Never leave family member alone. Would be there at night too but they'd rather lock him in a cage than let me stay with him. Disgusted by this facility!

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this ER for treatment. 7.5 hours of waiting, and never received treatment, no active security and it appears the insane asylum released their inmates. Triage did not even include a temperature check. If I could check off a negative star rating I would give it a -5 stars. Some patients had been waiting as much as 6 hours longer than we had. In confidence, a staffer confided, you probably won't be able to see a doctor for another 6 hours. Worst experience in health care by many orders of magnitude. 1st experience in SWF ER healthcare. P.S. there were only a handful of patients seeking medical treatment, so it wasn't like they were swamped with cases. How can they let a young boy, with a split bleeding lip, sit for hours and hours!
