I switched to Scimed for convenience of referrals to their in house team. Their set up is to have the doctors and nurse practitioners on top and ALL the support staff are medical assistants. There are zero actual nurses. No RN. No LPN. So you get to talk to what can be very rude uneducated people to get your healthcare. I have sat at my Scimed pcp and the lab place in Gainesville and listened to them openly bash and make fun of patients. I think they are expecting the docs to supervise somehow. Which won’t work. They are too busy. Scimed needs to spend the money on a couple of nurse office managers to get their staff in line. They have made so many mistakes with my referrals and i have friends complaining of same. There has to be a basic respect and caring shown in healthcare. I am sure it is much cheaper for them to throw a bunch of $18 an hour people at it, but in the end they ate only hurting themselves. I plan on leaving them in next few months. Don't need the drama.
