Innovative Dermatology and Mohs surgery

About 6 months ago I started shedding my hair in significant amounts. I went to Dr. Kontos for help. He proposed a set of options which started with the application of a specially formulated lotion to the scalp that could progress to more systemic approaches of varying strengths depending on success. After a few weeks, the lotion didn’t seem to help so we switched to a mild prescription. A few months later, my hair had stopped shedding and had started growing back!!I appreciated how Dr. Kontos listened to my concerns and presented me with a roadmap of options. He followed up closely throughout the process until we got the desired results without overprescribing.

Dr. Kontos and his entire staff are fantastic in terms of services they provide and are extremely caring and compassionate about their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Kontos to anyone living in Southwest Florida and/or vacationing. I get my skin cancer checkups yearly as well as other services in the Bonita Springs office.

Dr. Kontos has now done four MOH’s surgeries on me. I drive an hour each way for his services as he has consistently performed well by removing my lesions completely and leaving very little evidence that surgery was even performed at all. This Doc is not just a great surgeon, he is an artist! My surgeries have been virtually painless to the point that we often have stimulating conversations as the surgery is performed! The staff is professional, well trained, compassionate and very engaging. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough!
