WellMed at Dr Phillips Southwest Orlando Family Medicine

I have been a patient of this practice for 30 years. It used to be a great practice. I like my provider, but the practice has gone downhill since WellMed took over. Poor communication and patient service. It took my wife 3 months to get 2 referrals to specialists.

Most of the providers and staff here are outstanding. They are professional, caring, and knowledgeable. I have been a patient at SWOFM for many years now. The practice has deteriorated over the past couple years. It all has to do with communication. No one answers the phone, leaving messages for a return call is not possible. Wait times are hours and even days. The call center is off-site. For a while, it was out of the country. The staff blames it all on the transition to Wellmed and the adjustment to the new way of doing business. That must be true because this practice used to be second to none in SW Orlando. It is impossible to schedule, cancel, or reschedule appointments, ask a question, get a prescription ordered, etc. I have held for hours and have tried for days to actually speak with someone. I have driven to the office with the on-hold music playing on my phone as I walked in. Thankfully, I live close by and can drive there with my question or my need. The portal randomly dea
