No sense of urgency with breast cancer care
This review is NOT of Dr Arroyo, who explained the biopsy results and plan of action, was open to questions, and made getting the news of malignancy as comfortable as possible. I came with a family member, who has breast cancer. The problem is the Cleveland Clinic system is so poorly organized, that it took almost 5 weeks from the abnormal mammogram to even get the biopsy done. Thats five weeks of a large malignancy to keep on growing. Send patients elsewhere if you cant take care of them in a timely manner. Now that the appointment with Dr Arroyo has been done, a follow up MRI of the breasts is scheduled....in OCTOBER. With lumpectomy at some point after that. Unacceptable. Does anyone at this clinic care about lives?? A growing malignancy since July and no sense of caring or urgency on anyones part. For anyone considering being followed here for breast cancer, dont. Nobody deserves this level of disrespect when they are faced with cancer.
