Friendly helpful attentive
The appointment went well, had my tests on a 2nd visit and a 3rd visit to hear the results. I was able to call in to get an RX refilled which was expiring before I could get in. I only with they offered telehealth visits, especially to hear the results. I miss a lot of work, and with cold and flu season I would feel safer not coming in so much. I did ask and they said no.

What can be done in one visit (and what WAS done in one visit by my ophthalmologist up north in Chicago) has to be done in 3 visits at Kaufman Eye Institute. Every ophthalmologist I have ever been to has recommended yearly checkups -- sometimes even less than that. The doctor at Kaufman wanted me to return in 3 months -- nothing wrong, just a follow-up. My wife was also charged for a procedure she did not know she was getting and which was not disclosed -- and which, quite likely, was not even necessary.

I have had nothing but problems with this office. They have tried to make my glasses twice now. Each time taking 2 weeks. They are still wrong. I paid $350 above what my Humana insurance paid to get what I wanted. And still the lenses are wrong. No one in the office will return calls. Show up without an appointment and get bad attitude.
