Florida Spine Associates - Wellington

My husband had a procedure done in 2023 which needed prior authorization. We were told they would call and schedule once they received authorization. Office called said everything was all set and scheduled procedure. He was never told he had any financial responsibility he already met out of pocket max. Months later we started receiving bills for $9,121.54 when I call I was told it was deemed experimental and insurance denied payment. I am a nurse and have dealt with authorizations if this was the case they would have been told that when they requested authorization. You cannot bill a patient after the fact if you didn’t tell them upfront it wouldn’t be covered. I have been reaching out to Vicki billing manager for months she never returns calls now trying Brittany office manager she also does not return calls, I am calling 1-2 times a day even with all these attempts they sent it to collections this is no way to run an office. Still waiting on return call.
