Billing department is horrible
I'm not sure if they're just incompetent or outright dishonest. I have been on the phone at least four times trying to get a refund that they admit they owe but that I have yet to see after 3 months. They are hoping I forget about it I assume. If I owed them this money I would already be in collections.

Billing Dept. Refuses to Conduct Ethical Business
The billing office failed to provide a detailed billing statement upon request and further failed to communicate its determination to an offer to resolve the final balance. Upon follow-up, billing personnel refused to provide any documentation, orally or in writing, to the request for a detailed billing statement, and any counter offer to resolve the final balance. Documentation of a detailed billing statement must be provided when requested. Further, statements of final costs, standard or negotiated, are required for healthcare related expenditures for tax purposes. The multiple failures to perform by Piedmont Anesthesia Associates deprive patients the ability to reasonably resolve balances and to comply with state and federal requirements for qualified healthcare expenditures. The malfeasant company sent the balance to collections which is now in dispute.

Very poor experience with their billing department
While I can't complain about their medical services (thankfully), I can say their billing department needs to be watched VERY CAREFULLY, as even after being paid by two insurance companies, they decided to turn a $60 balance they never informed me of over to a collections agency. This occured when one insurance company underpaid them the correct amount. If you are forced to do business with them, after your procedure is done I would call their billing department EVERY MONTH to find out where you, your insurance companies, and their billing department stand, because odds are either they or the insurance company will mess up. The burden put on the patient with this medical provider is much higher than that of any provider I've ever used, and if you have an alternative, you should consider it.
