We drove 8 hrs round-trip for nothing. They booked a 2PM appt and gave my partner a different doctor when she showed up. That doc wanted to cut her benzos in half all at once, in direct contradiction to standard documented practices. When we complained, they scheduled her to see the original requested doc at 4:30, but that was never actually put in the system. We never actually saw the original doc and I'm convinced it's just a sock puppet the rest of the staff puts on in the back room and talks to as needed.They wanted us to come back a different day, could not accommodate a Saturday for an initial appt even though they're the reason the weekday one we showed up for got messed up three different ways in three hours. And then they called her this afternoon to give her the business for daring to leave a poor (and accurate) Google review.

Got everything wrong from my first phone call to my last. Wrong doctor (who was also awful, didn't know anything about my meds, tried to take me off too quickly, tried to add medicine against my wishes) then rescheduled to the right doctor incorrectly making me wait for over an hour for no reason. My medication was wrong. Their office staff dismissive, unknowledgeable, unhelpful. Loud and dirty waiting room. Required drug test, a thing I have never been required from a psych before, in a disgustingly filthy bathroom. Called in the wrong meds. Called and harassed me about a bad Google review I left which I will not be taking down. When I told them they sent the wrong meds they told me I was wrong even though me and my pharmacist were both confused and have proof. Awful.Didn't get one thing right the whole visit, before, or after. There are good mental health professionals in the world. This is absolutely not one of them.

My son had an appointment at 4. We arrived at 3:50, the lady called him in the back for a urine sample. He stood in the hall drinking water from 3:55-4:50 because he claim he couldn't go. I asked would I have to pay the $20 no show fee. They said no his medicaid would cover but he would have a no show on his chart even though we were there and once he gets 3 they would discharge him. Of course he did that because he doesn't want to be on the medications, at his last appointment he told the Doctor he wanted to be off but he have a hard time at school when he's not on it. They refused to see him because he wouldn't urinate for them. Please find a different Doctor office, one that listen and understand I mean this is mental health so they should be more understanding when it comes to things like this. Now he's without his medications until I find a different Doctor. Thanks Rivertown

Compassionate, clean and staff makes you feel comfortable

The girls at the front desk are so rude you would think that is their job! If you leave a bad review on their page they will call and threaten you to take it down and if you refuse they will no longer see you. They don't tell you that right away either. They perfer to wait until it's time to refill your meds to let you know they will no longer see you. Look at the differences in the reviews on their page vs public pages they have no access to!

My husband went there to have an evaluation that was needed for a job. They knew this ahead of time and also at the appointment, but after the visit, REFUSED to fill out the paperwork. They also refuse to refund the money - despite not having done what was needed. My child has also seen a provider in there other location, and the wait times are excruciating, and there is NO privacy. HIPAA violations all over the place, and should rightfully be reported to the governing authorities.

Worst visit I've had to a healthcare provider in a while. I listed symptoms and my expectations with nuance over the phone and on paper on 3 separate occasions. I was told over the phone and in person I would be able to see a psychiatrist and receive nuanced, personal treatment and receive explanation for my condition before being prescribed medication. I did not see a psychiatrist and was asked 100 scripted questions by a nurse in around 10 minutes before having two medication names said AT me with little context or explanation, even after explicitly asking for it. Don’t go here. They do more harm than good. I am sorry that our medical system in the United States is so poor, but it shouldn’t mean we resort to people looking to fill their pockets on the dime of the suffering middle and lower class. Save up your money and take it somewhere else! :)

Worst visit I've ever had at any psychiatrist office. I was in tears most of my appointment, felt like I wasn't being heard, or that my opinion doesn't matter. I had to fight to get a different medication prescription. And was told my options were to just come off of my meds, or to stay on the same thing. Luckily my husband was with me and was able to help stand up for me.

I would give them a 0 if I could. They are rude and unprofessional. The building smells like rotting trash. The “professionals” in charge of appointments are nasty. Chris, or whatever her name was is a very nasty human being. She was extremely rude to my child. She would not even let him speak and god forbid wanting to get a snack from the vending machine by the checkout desk. She was guarding the machine like a disgruntled dragon. Overall, I would rather have a root canal than go back here. In fact, I recently had a root canal, and the staff at my dentist made this experience 1000xs better than the incompetent staff at river town psychiatry.
