It has been two years since my last visit to this office. Prior to my appointment today, I received a statement in the mail indicating a past due balance from 2022 and a missed appointment from March of this year. In March, I was hospitalized, and after my discharge, someone from the hospital's registration department asked if I wanted to schedule a follow-up appointment with this office. I declined because I needed to consult with the specialist responsible for the issue that led to my hospitalization. I assumed that was the end of it, until I received this statement.I came to my appointment today expecting to resolve the billing issue and address the charges from 2022. Upon arrival, the system would not allow me to check in, so I asked the receptionist to assist me, which she did. She then informed me that I had an outstanding balance from 2022, a missed appointment fee from March, and today's visit charges.
