Urology Associates of Idaho Falls

My husband went here to check on a medical concern he has dealt with off and on for almost 10yrs now. He was recommended a new urine test that could tell if cancer cells were present, among other things, vs having to do blood work, imaging and a scoping. Of course anyone would want to take the least invasive choice. At his FU the MD said it’s the cleanest results he’s ever seen. NOW we have received a 3k bill for the URINE TEST. This lab is investigative as well as being a genetic test…. This information was never disclosed to my husband. No discussion about it or “hey, we rec this BUT it could be an out of pocket expense, from what we’ve seen, the MD has clearly had other patients complete this per his comment, it’s VERY expensive, you can check with your insurance first.” Which is what any and every practice would do!!! I have called the called them 3 days in a row, left messages everyday and neither me nor my husband has received any communication back. Absolutely horrible
