I had a horrible experience with BVI. I chose Dr Richardson simply bc I could get in sooner than w Bastian. And I regret not waiting to have it done by the man himself. (I dont think Richardson does anywhere near as many of the procedures as Bastian) Anyway my experience was awful. The post-op pain was excruciating. I was in agony & sobbing in tears. I understand my experience is an atypical response to the procedure, but that should never invalidate my right to adequate post-op pain management. But both doctors completely dismissed my pain and refused to call me in a strong opioid rx pain reliever. They were both extremely uncompassionate, unprofessional. and downright heartless about my post-operative suffering. So I ended up in the ER on two separate days just to get an IV shot of morphine for the pain. And the two trips to the ER just for analgesia (which could have been $20 at the pharmacy) cost me over $10,000 in medical expenses! I would NEVER recomend either of these doctors!
