Southern Illinois OB/GYN Asscs

I am an older mom, and I have been made to feel so here. After giving birth to my last son, I was told by a provider “This is the last time we will ever see you.” At a later appointment a provider laughed at my concern over a hemorrhagic cyst. Recently I had a positive pregnancy test. I had 2 previous miscarriages (before a healthy baby) and am in my 40s. I expected to encounter judgement at the OB, so rather than visit there first, I chose to have a viability scan somewhere else. The scan showed a fetal pole of appropriate size with heartbeat. Sadly I miscarried that same week. I had to follow up at the OB for my own heath. They questioned me multiple times whether there was tissue, despite having blood results with hcg. She said they didn’t have a scan to compare. The doctor did not check my vital signs, or ask after my symptoms or emotional well-being. Rather, I was pressured to get on birth control “or you will get pregnant again.” Dissmissive, lack of care, lack of compassion.
