Alverno Clinical Laboratories LLC

My negative experience at Alverno labs located at the Franciscan Health building at the corner of Calumet Avenue and Main Street in Dyer demands that I shine light on the incompetence I encountered. Two months after my blood draw the doctors are still waiting for lab results. Finally I was able to get to the bottom of the problem. The doctor’s lab order which called for a cardio metabolic panel was incorrectly entered by Lisa as a complete metabolic panel. Unfortunately this resulted in half of the requested labs not being done. Over and over, I was assured that all of the labs had been sent to my doctor while he insisted he was waiting for the results. To add injury to insult after my blood draw as I was checking out, I was informed that Alverno labs does not conduct a myomarker 3 profile lab test. I should have been told that when I checked in. I would not have proceeded with a blood draw if they cannot perform the requested lab work. Again another example of their incompetence.
