Will hold prescriptions hostage
Generally speaking the visits are not a good use of time. I went to this office 4 or 5 times in 3-4 years, and mostly just sat there listening to the Dr say the same things as the last time I was there. I don't know why I pay money to listen to someone tell me something that is just as easy to find online. The bigger issue is, that they require you to come in every 3-6 months and if you don't, they won't refill a prescription for insulin. This, in my mind, is unacceptable. Insulin is not a 'preference' or a 'nice to have', it is a requirement for survival when you are a Type 1. Holding the prescription hostage just because a patient hasn't been able to come in for appointments at an unreasonable frequency is not okay.
