Cohen Dermatopathology has recently diagnosed skin biopsies and a larger excision from my abdomen performed by my local physician. I called to talk to whoever made the diagnosis and discuss how much and from where the sections were submitted. I was informed that I needed to fill out a HIPPA form to discuss information about myself and that anyhow, their doctors do not talk to patients, only to referring physicians. Good doctors talk to patients unless for legal reasons they are unable to. The persons answering the phones are very helpful, the policies they have to follow benefit neither the practice nor the patient.
