New England Rehab Hospital

I was transferred here from another facility and boy am I glad. I came in with a broken neck and could only move a toe. The first day I had 3 therapy sessions (1 hour each). It is the standard amount for everyone from what I was told. I have been seen by Dr. Lyons Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist every morning from Mon-Sat when he comes by on a walk through. He is interested in how I am progressing and if I have questions. The staff is fantastic, caring and highly professional. The food is pretty good as well very atypical from the usual. You get to pick your own meals (within your diet plan). This week I have had chicken marsala, shrimp scampi and prime rib among my selections. Meals rotate weekly for variety. most rooms are one bed, Plenty of storage for clothing and personal items. FAMILIES are responsible for patients laundry. Of course you van wear a hospital johnny if you so desire. If ever I need therapy again Encompass would be my first choice
