Harbor Oaks Hospital

Our minor child was admitted to Harbor Oaks. We will never deal with them again. If you are considering admitting your child, especially if it is on a Friday or over the weekend, DO NOT do it. Wait for a bed to open up somewhere else. Harbor Oaks does not provide group or individual therapy or social work services over the weekend to pediatrics, even though they will say they do. Our child spent 2 days coloring, socializing and watching TV while in crisis mode. The entire time she was there she was never given the chance to be active through exercise or use of the gym (even though the schedule will indicate otherwise). In addition, no one seems to know what anyone else is doing. We were fed misinformation and lies while our daughter was there and I have proof of that through her medical record. Once you discover the subpar treatment and the misinformation, you cannot get your child transferred to a different hospital and you can't get your child discharged for up to 72 hours.
