Had to take my 89 year-old mom for a simple ear cleaning following a previous fall that landed her in the hospital. She happen to test positive for Covid, but was asymptomatic, and entirely cleared by Infectious Diseases before she left. WHen I made the appointment, Rossner stipulated masks. When I check my mom in, I honestly noted she had tested positive for covid, despite being vaccinated and boosted, and despite being asymptomatic and cleared by Beaumont. Rossner said he would see her but her mask must be tight. Then, after wasting 45 minutes in the waiting room, he sent an assistant out to decline treatment. Not professional at all. My mom was [pressured to get vaccines and boosters, wears a mask, and so does the staff. So what in the world does it mean for vaccine efficiency and mask policies if the doctor of record refuses treatment? He never specified covid policies before the appointment. Any dignified doctor would have treated the ear of an 89 year-old.
