Mercy Clinic Primary Care

If you are looking for a primary care physician you are actually able to see then look someplace else. I had a simple issue come up and only needed to get antibiotics prescribed. I was told that they were unable to schedule any kind of appointment for 5 months and to go to urgent care instead. Well my insurance only covers appointments to my PCP and charges an expensive copay for urgent care. If you are unable to see patients for routine medical care you cannot claim you provide primary care as that is it's definition. They should not be accepting new patients if they are unable to provide appointments for issues that a PCP is supposed to provide. It also took them over 3 months to send a referral to a specialist and over three weeks to get anyone to even talk to me about a billing issue. I called multiple times and was told someone would be in touch but no one ever reached out. Unless you only need yearly appointments that you are unable to reschedule I absolutely do not recommend.
