Recently diagnosed with breast cancer, my wife walked in with two scripts in hand to have some pre-op tests scheduled. Front desk was very rude and literally yelled at her that everything (test scripts) had to be faxed in. No other way to handle her request only would accept the information via a fax. Imagine you’re already devastated by a cancer diagnosis and then the doctors office sent her on her way. Instead of being greeted with “how can we help you”? Receptionist sits behind a large computer screen and doesn’t even slide the window open to talk to you. We immediately decided we’ve struggled with this practice for years and changed our PCP that very afternoon.
