No Courtesy Window
Very disappointed in the lack of a ten minute courtesy window for late arrivals. We were stuck in traffic, and out of courtesy, we called to inform that the patient was running nine minutes late. After being on hold for at least five minutes, someone finally picked up and then put us on hold again. When she returned, she said the test needed to be rescheduled. Again, we stated, “We are running only nine minutes late.” Which she then said, “I have been told to reschedule you.” Additionally, the woman’s tone was rude, and she did not understand our disappointment and frustration, after the patient left work early for this appointment, that there would be another two week wait to have this test completed. With all of the appointments we have had to do over the years, we have never experienced a doctor’s office that does not have a ten minute courtesy window.

This is not about the doctor(s) but the receptionists/office staff. The office staff was heartless (no pun intended) and hurtful to me today when I was in need of assistance. I had heart surgery 6 weeks ago and needed help with a medication and I was asked sarcastically if I was an opioid addict (I am not in any way, just hurting after a major heart surgery!!?) and I was left without proper medication. The doctor had already prescribed me a pain medication, she just prescribed the wrong one and the one she prescribed wasn't working. I tried to calmly explain myself and the situation and how they could help and I was humiliated. As a major cardiology group they should know how to deal with post-op patients. Also by one receptionist I was told my cardiologist was "in the middle of doing surgery" and couldn't reach out to me. The next one told me it was her day off so she couldn't call. I was told another doctor would look at my situation and then told that wasn't possible. I don't even k
