Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division

This low rating is in regard to making an appointment. I have had several appointments with Dr. Kaul in the past and he is wonderful. I had an urgent medical need so attempted to make an appointment. After waiting on hold for 90 minutes was told I needed a new referral since my previous visit was 3+ years ago. I spent the better part of the day obtaining that referral, which was faxed asap. After a second phone call, which I waited another 90 minutes for someone to answer, I was told I STILL could not make an appointment because the referral needed to be reviewed. I expressed my concern over the time sensitive nature of the medical issue and said please just schedule my appointment ANY TIME asap once approved and call me to inform. That was 5 days ago and I have yet to hear back. Since then have seen a different Dr. and was able to make an appointment elsewhere in under 15 minutes, in one phone call.
