NYU Langone Medical Associates - Valley Stream

I have been going here for about a year. I’ve had a few urgent issues and the staff scrambled to accommodate me each time—kindly and graciously. Everyone is helpful, considerate and knowledgable. Dr. Wignarajah and Dr. Prakkar are very responsive, thorough, and incredibly collaborative. I’m always able to get timely appointments, wait time in the office is less than a few minutes, and the drs and care team spend lots of time with patients. Highly recommend.

I recently had an unfortunate encounter with Nurse Practitioner Ms. Cummings during my visit to NYU Langone Valley Stream. I am disappointed to say that my experience with her was highly unprofessional and left a lasting negative impression. From the moment our interaction began, it was evident that she lacked empathy and displayed a disrespectful attitude. She consistently interrupted me, raised her voice, and failed to listen to my concerns. It was clear that she did not value open communication or patient engagement. The overall demeanor of Ms. Cummings was highly unprofessional, creating an uncomfortable and distressing experience. Her lack of professionalism and empathy deeply impacted my trust in the healthcare system and the providers associated with it.
